About Extention Changer

A focused utility for anyone who needs to change a file’s extension — quickly, privately, and across as many formats as we can catalog.

Why this exists

Wrong or missing extensions break workflows every day: a photo that won’t open, a CSV a tool refuses, a firmware dump that needs a specific suffix. Extention Changer gives you a single place to batch-fix that — and, when the browser allows it, to translate images and text formats for real.

What we optimize for

Coverage first. The catalog spans images, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, audio, video, archives, code, data, fonts, e-books, subtitles, CAD, databases, certificates, game ROMs, scientific formats and more — over 1000 unique extensions. If a format belongs in a modern computer, we want it on the list.

Privacy second. Files are processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers for conversion.

Who built it

Extention Changer is created by Pierre-Louis Crescitz. Visit the portfolio for more projects and contact details.

Honest limits

Not every pair of formats can be fully transcoded in a browser tab. When a deep conversion isn’t available, we rename the extension and preserve the original bytes. That is intentional, transparent, and often exactly what you need.
